Mr. Dillon was an assembly person for Bertch Cabinet in Waterloo, Iowa. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. He also worked on and rode motorcycles. Mr. Dillon is survived by 2 daughters, Melanie Meister and Mandy (Matt) Lewis, both of Alvin, Texas, 1 step son, Tyler Klenzman of Fairbank, Iowa, 1 step daughter, Mekyley Klenzman of Fairbank, and 5 grandchildren, Julien Meister, Baylee Vaudrin, Triston Lewis, Saydee Lewis, and Charlie Klenzman. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Richard (JoAnn) Dillon of Rowley, Iowa, John (Linda) Dillon and Bill (Linda) Dillon, both of Independence, 1 sister, Ann Weber of Independence, 1 sister-in-law, Jo Ann Dillon of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his second wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Bob Dillon and Kenneth Dillon (in infancy), 1 son-in-law, Lucas Meister, and 1 brother-in-law, George Weber. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at the White Funeral Home in Independence with Sharon Bainbridge officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Independence. Visitation will be after 12 Noon on Tuesday, March 16th, until service time. White Funeral Home of Independence is in charge of arrangements. |
