White Funeral Home Clinton – Jack Eugene Kensinger, 80 years old of Independence, IA, and formerly of Clinton, IA, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at ABCM Rehabilitation Centers of Independence – East Campus. Jack was born March 7, 1940, in Iowa City, IA, the son of John Kensinger and Alice (Keenan) Kensinger. In 1959 he was united in marriage to Kathryn Kavadas in Clinton. They later divorced. Jack worked for the City of Milwaukee, WI, but eventually returned to Clinton because of health reasons. He was loved and will be greatly missed. Jack is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Eric) Frey of Waterloo, IA, Renee Bridges of Hickory, NC, and Lori VanValkenburg of Waterloo, IA; 8 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren and 6 brothers, Thomas Coon, Robert Coon, James Coon, Howard Coon, Steve Coon and Brent McNabb. His parents and four sisters, Sally Petersen, Nancy James; Janice Coon and Cheryl Coon, preceded him in death. Private family services will be held 11:00 a.m. - Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Cedar Crest Cemetery, Jesup, IA. Burial of Jack’s cremated remains will follow at the cemetery.
