Jesup – Thelma June Wendt, 91 years old of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Sunnycrest Nursing Center, in Dysart, IA.  A celebration of life for Thelma will be held at a later date.  Memorials for the family may be sent to the White Funeral Home, 1315 Main Street, Jesup, IA  50648.

Thelma was born January 16, 1929, at Nevada, IA, the daughter of William Graham and Bertha (Brush) Graham.  She graduated from high school in Nevada.  On August 3, 1947, she was united in marriage to James Franklin Wendt, in Nevada, IA.  Following Jim’s military career, they made their home in Jesup, IA.  Thelma was a homemaker and had also worked as a typesetter.

Thelma is survived by three daughters, Karen Bland of Mountain Home, AR, Donna (Ted) Paulus of Champlin, MN, and Rhonda (Scott) Linderman of Independence, IA; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband who died January 16, 2003; she is preceded in death by her parents; one infant son, Dennis James Wendt; one daughter, Leona Kimmerle; two grandchildren, Pattie Louise Kimmerle and Michael Anthony Wendt; and a great grandson, Kyle Andrew Bland.
