Dunkerton – Dixie Jo Floss, 63 years old of Dunkerton, IA, died Wednesday, February 27, 2020, at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. – Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA.  Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 3^rd at the funeral home and for an hour before services Wednesday.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Dixie was born September 29, 1956, in Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Lyle Leslie Adams and Violetta (Schwake) Adams.  She graduated from Cedar Falls High School.  Dixie worked as a librarian at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Waterloo before its closing.  On July 14, 2001, she was united in marriage to Gary Floss at their home in Dunkerton.  He preceded her in death in 2018.

Dixie is survived by two sons, William (Gail) Widmann of Centennial, CO, Mark (Amanda) Widmann of Cedar Falls, IA; three grandchildren, one great grandson; one stepson, Joseph J. (Nicole) Floss of Cedar Falls, IA; six brothers, Neil (Susan) Adams of Waterloo, Rex (Maggie) Adams of Holiday Lake, IA, Terry (Ginny) Adams of Finchford, IA, Bruce (Rita) Adams of Tennessee, Kevin Adams of Waterloo and Jerry (Lori) Adams of Cedar Falls, IA.  In addition to her husband Gary, her parents preceded her in death.
