Jesup - Vera M. Rozmus, 92 years old, of Fairbank, IA, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died, Sunday, February 23, 2020, of natural causes at UnityPoint – Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, IA.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. – Thursday, February 27, 2020, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church with Fr. Jeffrey A. Dole as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 4:00 – 7:00 p.m, Wednesday, February 26^th at White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, where there will be a parish rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services, Thursday, at the church. Memorials will be directed to the church.

Vera Margaret Demuth was born November 24, 1927, on the farm in rural Jesup, the daughter of Frank Demuth and Ceilia (Bahl) Demuth. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1945. On May 22, 1948, she was united in marriage to Theodore T. Rozmus at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA. He preceded her in death in 1991. The couple made their home in Jesup, IA, where she was a friend to many. She enjoyed baking and doing crossword puzzles. When she moved to Fairbank in her later years, she enjoyed the company of her friends at Parkview, but always kept up with the happenings in Jesup.

Vera is survived by her nieces and nephews, including Johnette Hugil of Bosie, ID; and John Rozmus, Jr. of Washburn, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; 1 sister, Alma Rozmus; and 1 nephew, Pete Rozmus.
