White Funeral Home Jesup – Gregory James “Boar” Fratzke, 60 years old of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at UnityPoint Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo, IA. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, January 4, 2020, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial at a later date. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 3rd at the White Funeral Home, Jesup and for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family. Greg was born October 3, 1959, in Independence, IA, the son of Ronald W. Fratzke and Bertha Margaret (Demuth) Fratzke. He grew up in the catholic faith at St. Athanasius in Jesup and graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1978. In November of 1981 he was united in marriage to Jean Marie Thome in Raymond, IA. They later divorce. In November of 2008, he and Carmen Delaine McAtee became married in Jesup, IA. Greg worked for the Iowa Department of Transportation as an equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing and hunting mushrooms. He loved his family and friends (especially the grandchildren) deeply and never gave up on anybody or anything. Greg is survived by his wife, Carmen of Jesup; three sons, Nicholas (Bethany) Fratzke of Newton, IA, Joshua (Rachel) Fratzke of Kalona, IA, Jonathan (Megan) Rose of La Porte City, IA; two daughters, Dannette (Dan) Tielbar of Garnavillo, IA, Rebecca Ann Rose of Solon, IA; six grandchildren; four brothers, John (Judy) Fratzke, of Jesup, Richard (Kris) Fratzke of Jesup, Brother Ronald Fratzke of Thailand, Tom (Nancy) Fratzke of Broken Arrow, OK; two sisters, Margaret Wolfe of Newhall, IA, and Mary Fratzke of Cedar Rapids, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother, James Henry Fratzke. |
