Jesup – Mary M. (Trumbauer) Wigant, 69 years old of Rochester, MN, and formerly of Jesup, IA, died Thursday, September 26, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

She was born September 12, 1950, in Independence, IA, the daughter of Paul Matthew Trumbauer and Isabel Philomena (Walters) Trumbauer.  After graduation from Don Bosco High School with the class of 1969, she attended Pitzie’s School of Beauty and then was employed at hair salons in the area.  She also worked at Powers Manufacturing.  On November 15, 1969, she was united in marriage to Terri Keith Wigant at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup, IA.  Mary was a former member of St. Athanasius Church.

Mary is survived by her husband, Terri Wigant of Rochester, MN; two sons, Mark (Jeanie) Wigant and Craig (Sara) Wigant; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; four sisters, Norma Jean (Patrick) Klein of Prior Lake, MN, Cheryl (LeRoy) Schares of Independence, IA, Rose Marie (Patrick) Perkins of Peoria, IL, Paula (Michael) Kies of Independence, IA; one brother, Richard (Pam) Trumbauer of Jesup, IA and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mary’s body has been donated to science at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, and a memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be directed to Gift of Life House, Susan Powers Helping Hands Fund in care of Gift of Life House, 705 2^nd Street SW, Rochester, MN  55902.
