Jesup – Ramona Jean Schuler, 82 of Jesup, IA, died Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. – Saturday, October 5, 2019, at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, IA with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday October 4th at the White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA where there will be a Catholic Daughter of America Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and Vigil service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue for an hour before services Saturday at the church. Memorials will be directed to St. Athanasius Catholic Church.
Ramona was born July 12, 1937, in Buchanan County, IA the daughter of Robert Brown and Evelyn (Saunders) Brown. She graduated from Jesup High School with the class of 1956. On May 14, 1960, she was united in marriage to Eugene Alfred Schuler in Jesup. She was a homemaker and had worked delivering newspapers for the Waterloo Courier for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Jesup and a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Ramona is survived by one daughter, Denise (Harold) Clayton of Fairbank, IA; three sons, Michael Schuler of Jesup, Joseph Schuler of Jesup and Matthew (Gail) Schuler of Jesup; 9 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her parents; husband, Eugene (1999); one great grandson, Connor Zanker and two sisters, Catherine Flores and Alice Brown, preceded her in death.
