White Funeral Home LITTLETON – Elizabeth Mae “Betty” Bickert, 95 years old, of Littleton, IA, died of natural causes, Monday, July 29, 2019, at ABCM Rebab – West Campus, Independence, IA. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA. Burial will follow at Littleton Cemetery, Littleton, IA. Memorials will be used to assist residents of ABCM Rehab at Camp Courageous. White Funeral Home, Jesup, IA, is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be posted at www.White-MtHope.com Elizabeth Mae Brown was born November 29, 1923, in rural Floyd County, IA, the daughter of Byron Anbrose Brown and Edna Maree (Meggit) Brown. She attended Clarksville High School, Clarksville, IA. She married Paul Rodery and they later divorced. On August 11, 1958, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Pershing Bickert in Dubuque, IA. Elizabeth worked in the office for Rath Packing in Waterloo, IA, until her retirement in 1978. She liked to travel, people watch, and go out to eat. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty is survived by her son, Keith (Judy) Bickert of Independence, IA; grandchildren, Debra Slater, Tracie (Virgil) Hovden, Heather (Nic) Weers, Joshua (Heather) Bickert, and Jimmy Papach; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth; 1 daughter, Shirley Papach; 2 grandsons, Joe Slater, Jerry Slater; and 1 brother, Robert Brown. |
