White Funeral Home Bonner Springs, Kansas – Lana K. King, age 76, of Bonner Springs, KS., passed away on Wed. June 26, 2019. Visitation will be 10-11am, followed by the Funeral at 11am, both Sat. June 29th at the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church. Burial will be 11am Monday at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo, IA. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church. Lana was born on Feb. 5, 1943 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She is the youngest of two children born to Merton & Viola (Salzman) Rowley. Lana grew up in Jesup, Iowa and graduated from Jesup Community School (K-12) in the Class of 1961. She then moved to St. Charles, Missouri where her two sons were raised. Later she moved to Louisiana, Missouri and Valparaiso, Indiana before settling in Bonner Springs, Kansas in 2007. Lana was an active member of the Bonner Springs United Methodist Church, Bible Study and proofreading the Church Bulletins. She was also involved in the Lady’s Reading Circle and BPW. Lana loved to read, learn about history, Disney Movies and Elvis. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son Darren Taylor. Survivors include her son Michael Taylor and wife Cindy of Shawnee, KS., four Grandchildren: Kyle Taylor, Emily Taylor, Abby Taylor and Jessica Taylor. One brother Gary Rowley and wife Gladys of Jesup, IA., as well as her friends and church family. |
