Dunkerton – Alberta J. Turner, 91 years old, of Dunkerton, Iowa, died on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Friendship Village in Waterloo, Iowa.  She was born on March 31, 1927, in Waterloo, the daughter of Milton and Vera (Stillman) Weidman.  She graduated from West High School in Waterloo with the Class of 1945.  On November 24, 1946, she and Floyd Leon Turner were married in Waterloo.  He preceded her in death in 2012.  In addition to caring for her family, Mrs. Turner was a bookkeeper for several area family businesses.

Mrs. Turner is survived by 5 children, David (Sharon Kay) Turner of Dunkerton, Linda Robinson of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Sue (John) Graham of Manitou Springs, Colorado, Bert (Rose) Turner of Florissant, Colorado, and Sharon (Ahmed) Gharyani of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 13 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandson, Deon D. Turner, and 1 son-in-law, Dr. James B. Robinson.

As per Mrs. Turner’s wishes, Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Friendship Village Medical Center or Cedar Valley Hospice. White Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
