Evansdale – Theresa M. Buchheit, 57 years old of Evansdale died Monday, October 29, 2018, at her home.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. – Monday, November 5, 2018, at the First United Methodist Church, Cedar Falls, IA.  Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time Monday at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

Theresa Marie Buchheit was born September 24, 1961, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Harry James Rouse and Sandra Lee (Geary) Rouse.  She graduated from Independence High School with the class of 1980.  She then attended Hawkeye Technical Institute in Waterloo and earned a associate degree in accounting.  Later she attended nursing school and became a Registered Nurse.  On September 15, 1984, she was united in marriage to Alan Dale Buchheit at St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence, IA.  They later divorced.  While working as a Registered Nurse, she was employed at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton; Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center in Waterloo and later at Cedar Falls Health Care in Cedar Falls.

Theresa is survived by two sons, Zachery Buchheit (Tiffany Bergman) of Reinbeck, IA, Andrew Buchheit (Kayla Gaul) of Evansdale, IA; one daughter, Kelsey Buchheit (Ryan Hagen) of Cedar Falls, IA; 9 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Mike Rouse of Independence, IA, Doug (Lori) Rouse, Independence, IA.  She is preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother, Timothy Rouse.
