Independence – Donna Marie Brown, 72, from Independence, Iowa passed away on September 28th, 2018 at ABCM Rehab. Center of Independence – West Campus. Donna was the daughter of Lowell and Vivian Parrish, born in Boone, IA, on January 20th, 1946. Donna was raised in Boone where she graduated from Boone High School in the class of 1964. Donna later moved to Independence with her three boys where she worked for over two decades at the Security State Bank. On August 3rd, 1985, Donna married Dale J. Brown of Independence. Donna loved spending time with her family, enjoyed working in the garden, and traveling with Dale.

Donna is proceeded in death by: her mother and father, Vivian and Lowell Parrish and her brother, Edward Parrish.

She is survived by: her husband, Dale Brown of Independence, mother-in-law, Alice Brown of Waterloo, sister-in-law, Susan (Aaron) Joens of Waterloo, brother-in-law, Burton Brown of Independence, her three sons, Scott (Brenda) Wade of Morning Sun, Iowa, Kevin (Shanna) Wade of Winfield, Iowa, and D.J (Charlene) Wade of Mt. Union, Iowa, her 12 grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Kasey, Brooke, Kelsie, Randy, Katie, Karlie, Kara, Bryce, Konner, and Lacie Wade, and several great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the White Funeral Home in Independence with Pastor Lance Fricke officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence.  Friends may call for visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1^st, at the funeral home.
